A few years back, an English colleague met me for a few days during my 6 weeks on the road to cross-cover many issues, ending in Brussels. I stayed at the Brussels Hilton. He elected to stay at the same hotel for convenience. An orgy of greed and wanton wasters. Funded by you, the poor taxpayers. The costs are off the Richter-scale. Gluttonous greed and waste. Beyond empires of glittering vanities. Politicos in orgies of wasteful, lavish extravaganzas party nightly. Funded by you, the Electorate)

Just 3 days and 2 nights there, when I was checking out to jump the fast Eurostar train connection to London, I settled my hotel bill with nonchalance, it is what it is. Paris and Zurich are worse. I saw my English colleague having palpitations at the checkout desk. Walking out paid up, he white faced explained to me we only stayed 2 nights and that bill was greater than his entire pension for next month’s living money. Traumatized. 2 nights! He asked how I can afford it. I explained I’ve just had 6 weeks travelling, so multiply that by about 25 or more, and that’s me. But it’s the high living cost of the EU. Westminster too on top as well. Our ticket to ride. It cripples economies. We do so need to rethink the EU. It flatlined him. Pay to play. Or get blown away. The lot is rotten to the core. No less than DC. Each a Cesspit of mediocrities.

Arriving at Brussels Metro they had just suddenly introduced X-ray scanning on travelling case baggage. Shit. Mine! I said to my colleague, this could get messy, leave right now. Fast. I’m on my own – go.
