Time is very short, and I am going to skip the usual highlights and media embeds so this can go out tonight. Otherwise, it would not go out in a timely fashion if I put it off for even one more day.

So, that’s the latest from London. We now move on to some crypto news and views.

crypto milestones ahead

Monetary policy, legislation, and ETF approvals are all converging. In September and October, look for monetary policy, legislation and more possible ETF approvals to set the stage for what could be an explosive five to six future months in the crypto markets.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell has signaled that the Fed is ready to cut interest rates at its next meeting in September. But this is just an appetizer. For now, the markets are experiencing the usual volatility, like a nervous bride before her honeymoon night. Performance jitters.

Over the next two to three months, a series of events should propel crypto markets higher, pushing Bitcoin towards and potentially even above $150,000, and leading to even bigger gains for quality altcoins.

First, as mentioned above, the Fed is about to cut rates. This is the most immediate and powerful tailwind for crypto.

Digital assets thrive when liquidity is abundant, when money is easy, and when investors are pushed further out on the risk curve in search of higher returns. The last time the Fed started cutting rates (September 2024), altcoins went to Pluto.

That wasn’t a coincidence, because lower rates ease financial conditions, initiate new flows into risk assets, and shifts into high-growth plays. For crypto, it effectively kicks off “altcoin season,” when speculative capital floods into everything from Layer-1 chains to DeFi tokens and meme coins.

With Powell now signaling that the September cut is locked in, it’s as if the “buy me now” sign has been written across the sky by The Almighty.

Second, the much-debated CLARITY Act is moving through Capitol Hill with late September and early October shaping up as key decision time. This bill is designed to finally provide crypto with the one thing it has lacked for years: regulatory clarity.

Right now, the U.S. crypto landscape is a bureaucratic steaming pile of overlapping jurisdictions and aggressive enforcement actions. The CLARITY Act will establish clearly defined lines between securities and commodities in the digital asset space, giving projects and investors a predictable framework to operate in.

Too many institutions sit on the sidelines because if this, and it’s critical to address. Pension funds, asset managers, and corporate treasuries will not deploy billions into crypto unless the rules are crystal clear. The CLARITY Act, when enacted, will unlock huge pools of sidelined capital.

Third, there’s the GENIUS Bill — legislation focused on stablecoins. This bill requires issuers like Tether and Circle to back their tokens with transparent reserves and meet higher disclosure standards. Exactly what the market needs.

Stablecoins are the base pair for trading, the medium for cross-border payments, and increasingly the backbone of DeFi. By standardizing reserves, the GENIUS Bill would fix stablecoins as a legitimate, systemically trusted asset class in the U.S. financial system.

Together with the CLARITY act, these moves should change the U.S. stance on crypto from adversarial to constructive.

Fourth, The SEC has a stacked docket of crypto ETF applications coming due in October. After approving both Bitcoin ETFs in early 2024 and Ethereum ETFs in mid-2025, the next step is going to be the diversification of same. To wit:

October 8: Truth Social’s Bitcoin & Ethereum ETF decision.

October 16: Solana ETF applications (21Shares, Bitwise).

October 19: 21Shares Core XRP Trust decision.

October 18–25: Multiple XRP ETF filings expected to be ruled on.

Other ETF proposals include Dogecoin and multi-asset crypto index funds.

The moral of the story is simple: the SEC is about to decide on a series of products that will allow U.S. investors to get exposure to altcoins and not just Bitcoin and Ethereum. All through traditional brokerages and retirement accounts.

Just one of these ETFs being approved will mark another institutional on-ramp moment. Solana or XRP ETFs, in particular, could be game-changers by legitimizing altcoin exposure for mainstream investors. Even if approvals are delayed, the mere fact that these products are being seriously considered keeps the focus on them.

What’s powerful about this setup is not just the individual catalysts, but the timing. Rate cuts, ETF evaluations, CLARITY Act, GENIUS Bill and SEC ETF decision all are scheduled to take place in within September and October. A very narrow window of critical timing.

Rate cuts fuel liquidity, clarity bills unlock institutional capital, stablecoin rules cement infrastructure, and ETFs open the floodgates for mainstream flows.

Talk about a perfect storm!

Clearly, the outlook for crypto is significantly improving. The fall calendar is packed with catalysts that could unleash the next bull upward leg.

Rate cuts are coming. Regulatory clarity is advancing. Stablecoins are getting legitimized. ETFs are on deck.

Those who seek signs, need look no further.
