There is nothing more inefficient than a government full of hundreds of nonproductive, reprobate bureaucrats who produce nothing but more laws to enrich themselves or those who have bought and owned them. Crypto is highly headline sensitive, and the wise speculator will bring his spare cash to bear on news-driven dips to add to positions of value-based tokens. As long as you keep critical cash out of this highly volatile arena, you will ride out the storms like a pro while the kamikaze, quick-buck, top and bottom seeking margin call junkies go into DTs when the wife finds out that her BMW is being repossessed, and leaves them for a wiser fool.
In our view this is not the time to sell all crypto and go to cash. If the economic processes in play right now should send the country into recession, then the Fed will no doubt counter with increased liquidity. A global recession will probably result in similar acts by the Chinese and Europeans. In such conditions, BTC has performed more like a safe haven than as a risk on/off asset. So, either way, having crypto in your speculative portfolio is wise, especially now.
Consider the tariff moves a kind of pivot. During this 90 day tariff pause, nations are calling the US and wanting to make deals. The tail risk of tariff wars is basically over. Crypto moves are still expected to be higher than the recent ATH.

Despite my mother’s (God Rest Her Soul) histrionic claims of my “nervousness”, EEG shows exactly what my internal experience is — a quiet mausoleum at rest and creative maelstrom when not. Which is why I don’t drink and don’t do substances. Alcohol serves no purpose to me and dulling my creativity doesn’t either. Amusingly, I also don’t have the receptors that give euphoria with opiates. Long ago, extreme pain, accident, they poured in the opiates. No pain and much to the surprise of the docs, no euphoria. They were quite non-plussed. Conversely one shot of morphine had my brother flying higher than any aircraft. Quite the contrast us two.

The US survived its first immigration wave for two reasons.

Sad part about the population growth is the more technological advance society is, the less children are born. When countries were more agricultural, there were more children because of the need to farm the land.
Japan, Korea, and coming soon Thailand are slowly reducing their population because nobody wants to have kids. The younger generations are pursuing jobs in the cities. Dog eat dog. Climb the ladder of success. No time to have families.
In Japan, some schools only have 1 child to teach. It has become such a rarity that when people do see a baby they flock all around the baby.
Korea is walking towards completely being eradicated as a race if things don’t turn around.
Thailand is also following suit.
Only the poorer countries where the poor outnumber the rich by a lot are still having babies by sheer luck because of lack of education and lack of better opportunities. Nothing else to do, they have babies that sadly they cannot provide for. But in terms of self-preservation as a country, ironically they will survive.
As a Christian, the bible verse ‘Go forth and multiply.’ comes to mind. It does have its wisdom if taken in the right context.

Don’t get me started. I graduated from a 6-year accelerated MD program at Boston University. Admitted to the program — in 1982–, one is guaranteed a slot in Med School 2 years later. 10,000+ applied for roughly 60 slots. Specialized chem, organic chem, bio, labs were half the classes. I eventually elected an extra-year option, and converted a comp sci minor into a major while adding an economics minor.
Would you believe a scant 4 years later the program collapsed in silly DEI-style admissions — that class couldn’t handle the workload, the subject matter or well… anything. And I can pinpoint the exact moment the DEI began — BU MED wanted to graduate more female doctors. The tragedy is that the original cohorts of women admitted to the program were top notch. Then they broadened the pool and destroyed a perfect vehicle for them.
