Greetings!

This morning I received, in confidence, a private communication containing very positive news of progress by dynastic Elder principals.

While we were given additional details, WHA was instructed to not reveal them. As WHA always keeps confidences as a condition for further support, we will respect this wish.

I was going to simply post this as a comment, but on further reflection, I thought it best to publish it to our readership.

It’s hoped that positive updates will continue!

Earlier we predicted that 2026 was going to be a pivotal year; that forward progress would have to take place along a wide front of a very diverse set of transformational projects within the human experience – technological, political, financial, social. The information we received today would seem to validate that a particular ram has touched the wall, and this time it’s going to continue forward.

We hope so!

There are no significant crypto updates at this time, but all prior recent suggestions and observations are still valid at this time. There will be no going back. Adoption, regulatory clarity, crypto-based products and stablecoin payment rails are no longer theories. They are movements.

      I see not one person in ten thousand understand the issue(s).

      It is called failover and recovery.

      When the AI fails, and it will, you need to be able to take control of the vehicle. And the Denninger Challenge is still unsolved — Tesla isn’t paying for the insurance, but if they are driving, they should be. It’s that simple.

      Remember, the AI actually still does not work in practice. Statistical shenanigans are presently used to create false numbers.

      Tesla’s self-driving safety statistics, which often show significantly fewer crashes per mile with FSD active compared to the U.S. average, are considered controversial and potentially misleading by many experts.       Nobody is taking seriously Tesla’s accuracy assertions. It still makes illegal right turns on red because, despite Tesla (and Musk’s) assertions, it doesn’t understand street signs.

    Meanwhile, the Anthropic dumpster fire continues…

    Curious to know roughly whats API billing will cost for anthropic models I added $15 credit to an openrouter account and added an API key to GHCP in VS code.

    I selected Sonnet 4.6 model (openrouter) and prompted for a new Alert Box to be added to the webui I am currently working on.

    It completed the task fairly quickly, used 3 or 4 tools and apon inspecting the results I realised it required manual code cleanup afterwards because it did not put it where I wanted exactly and didn’t add the animation correctly. No biggie.

    I then check my Openrouter activity and was shocked when I discovered I just paid $4.67 for that slop.

    Needless to say I felt ripped off. At ‘honey moon’ rates it was good enough but at the cost of a cup of coffee…well anthropics model can F right off.

    Jesus Christ. This is much worse than I thought and if these are the prices those companies have to charge to provide these models then they are in massive trouble.

    Either there needs to be a massive breakthrough in inference costs or this is all going up in smoke.

    I should start a blog called the The Daily AI Disaster.

    Today’s Reddit follows the usual pattern — someone without a clue of even basic discipline — e.g. partitioned environments — development separate from QA separate from alpha separate from beta separate production mirror separate from live — managed to nuke their db all because they have an AI… not to mention non-existent backups daily, weekly, monthly, at multiple locations or even hourly. Nah, we have AI! What could possibly go wrong.

    My deploy script just nuked the production DB, what now?

    I’m sitting here with my heart in my throat after today’s disaster.

    I wrote a quick script to migrate users to the new schema and, in a moment of confidence, I gave Opus access to my production database.

    The script ran, but something went wrong and it started deleting rows instead of updating them.

    I tried to stop it, but the process kept going and now the user table is basically empty.

    My monitoring alerts are still flashing red and the API is nor working, so the front‑end is just spitting out errors.

    Customers who tried to log in this morning got a 500 and now people are now asking for refunds.

    I rolled back the last backup, but it was from two days ago, so we’ve lost a week’s worth of activity.

    I’ve got a panic‑filled inbox, a near‑empty DB, and no clue how to recover the missing records without breaking more stuff.

    Has anyone dealt with a similar wipe? What’s the fastest way to restore data or at least mitigate the fallout? Any scripts, backup tricks, or even how to talk to angry users would be a lifesaver.

    This is not the CIA God-Helmet but I suspect this is the original genesis. Landed in my inbox today:

    2002 — Michael Persinger, the God Helmet, and Mainstream Evidence

    Dr Michael Persinger, professor of psychology at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, until his death in 2018, published over 200 peer-reviewed papers on the influence of weak magnetic fields on consciousness, perception and emotion.

    His best-known work involves the “God Helmet” — a device applying weak rotating magnetic fields (10 nanotesla to 1 microtesla) over the temporal lobes. Persinger reported that around 80% of subjects experienced altered states ranging from a “sensed presence” to mystical experiences to perceived contact with deceased relatives.

    A 2005 replication attempt by Granqvist et al. at Uppsala University failed to reproduce the effect under double-blind conditions, attributing reports to suggestibility. Persinger disputed the methodology. The God Helmet itself remains contested.

    What’s not contested is Persinger’s broader body of peer-reviewed work demonstrating that weak magnetic fields, in the same intensity range as your phone in your pocket and your WiFi router, measurably alter brain function. The field strengths are within the regime of normal environmental EMF exposure. Whatever the precise mechanism, the principle that low-intensity EM fields couple meaningfully to consciousness is in the published literature with Persinger’s name on it.

    AI works only if it is reliable. It is reliable only if we have proof of correctness and proof of reliability. And if you build a system that can only be decoded by the very AI that built it you toss the two aforementioned criteria out the window.

    As matters presently stand they clearly crippled Claude Opus for the masses (4.6 version) and have made version 4.7 too expensive and folks are having nervous breakdowns over the clear failure(s) of 4.7.

    This is very bad at multiple levels.

    What AI could have enabled is the rise of the one-person entrepreneur. Which could have boomed the economy. Instead, the sequestered AI’s that will sit behind the large enterprise paywalls is designed not to create a resilient decentralized economy, but a centralized fragile one.
