Briefing #225

this update does not exist and I was never here

Greetings!

This morning I received, in confidence, a private communication containing very positive news of progress by dynastic Elder principals.

While we were given additional details, WHA was instructed to not reveal them. As WHA always keeps confidences as a condition for further support, we will respect this wish.

I was going to simply post this as a comment, but on further reflection, I thought it best to publish it to our readership.

It’s hoped that positive updates will continue!

Earlier we predicted that 2026 was going to be a pivotal year; that forward progress would have to take place along a wide front of a very diverse set of transformational projects within the human experience – technological, political, financial, social. The information we received today would seem to validate that a particular ram has touched the wall, and this time it’s going to continue forward.

We hope so!

There are no significant crypto updates at this time, but all prior recent suggestions and observations are still valid at this time. There will be no going back. Adoption, regulatory clarity, crypto-based products and stablecoin payment rails are no longer theories. They are movements.

Thank you, again, for your continuing contributions to the discussion section.

More when possible!

  1. 315 Farms Filed Bankruptcy in 2025. 160,000 Just Disappeared.

Farm bankruptcies jumped 46% in 2025. The real number is the 160,000 who exited without filing — absorbed into a consolidating system that benefits packers, not producers. Record debt, flat income, and a structural architecture designed to accelerate exits tell the same story: this is what managed decline looks like.

    Who wins when farms fail

The 315 bankruptcy filings and 160,000 silent exits don’t produce a vacuum. They produce a transaction. Every farm that exits has assets — land, equipment, water rights, grazing leases — and those assets move to whoever is capitalized to absorb them at distressed prices.

That buyer is rarely another family farmer.

  4. On This Day In History 04/30/1789, George Washington was inaugurated as the very first President of the United States. The ceremony took place on the balcony of Federal Hall in New York City, the nation’s temporary capital. Washington took the oath of office, beginning the new constitutional government.

Dressed in a dark brown suit adorned with eagle-emblazoned buttons, Washington placed his hand on a Bible for the oath. This Bible, borrowed from St. John’s Masonic Lodge No. 1, became a part of a lasting tradition. His inaugural address emphasized national unity and laid the foundation for a young nation.

The day was celebrated with grand fanfare, as bells rang and cannons fired across the city, marking a pivotal moment in American history. The inauguration set the stage for peaceful power transitions, a cornerstone of democracy we’ll cherish for generations.

The war in Ukraine reached a critical inflection point as the Russian military successfully targeted and struck a secret NATO logistics operation. According to reports from the Odessa seaport administration, a Panamanian-flagged vessel—secretly chartered by the British Ministry of Defense—was hit by an Iskander ballistic missile and multiple kamikaze drones 30 km off the coast of Odessa. The ship was reportedly carrying thousands of artillery shells and over 100 Brimstone missiles intended for Ukraine’s F-16 fighter jets. A second vessel, sailing under the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis, was also set ablaze in a coordinated drone strike, signaling that Russian intelligence has successfully penetrated NATO’s frequently changing logistics chains.

Last night April 25th, the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted what monitoring services describe as a “crushing blow” to Ukraine’s interior. Over 50 powerful explosions were recorded across regions including Kiev, Dnipro, Odessa, and Sumy. Beyond energy infrastructure, the strike successfully destroyed 20 weapons depots and five fuel warehouses. The focus on logistics is becoming absolute; the Russian military is systematically hunting Ukraine’s remaining diesel locomotives, threatening to paralyze the supply trains that sustain the front lines in Donbass.

Mid week 3 SU57’s tailed a US B2 Spirit bomber over the Black Sea for 31 minutes at a distance of 18 kilometers. Ample time to profile the bomber with their radar and send back to home a detailed 3 dimensional signature. This now means Russian satellites will pick up this aircraft the moment it leaves the ground with ample time for targeting. At a cost well over a billion this aircraft can be engaged at distances of over 400 kilometers from Russian airspace. No doubt such information will be shared with China and quite possibly Iran. New bombing runs by this plane just got a lot more dangerous.

This week also saw deepening defensive relationships between India and Russia. One might consider what a defensive bloc of Russia, China, India, Iran, and North Korea might mean for the world going forward because this is in formation.

Speaking on the Nakamoto Stage, Tim Draper told attendees that bitcoin has entered the financial mainstream and that governments now roll out “the red carpet” for the industry. He said the community is “starting to feel like something is happening” as adoption grows, and he cast that shift as the early phase of a larger transition in the money system.

In his view, people will move in stages: first from dollars to stablecoins, then from stablecoins to bitcoin as the final store of value and unit of account.

The so-called gas chambers were blown up to keep from being used as shelter or storage for advancing Soviet troops. Any Prussian blue cyanide gas residue on the walls would have been photographed at that time, but never was. Prussian blue was found on the walls of small clothing delousing chambers, and remains to this day.

  32. I’m not a fan of Jordan Peterson. While I defend his right to speak, he is another mediocrity elevated to heights that are unwarranted. I am not as sanguine as Vox Day on the matter, I just found Peterson… boring.

Vox has this idea of the ticket-taker. Which more or less explicitly embodies (in some contexts) of selling one’s Soul for material gain whether this be fame or fortune or power. Take your pick of the religious or secular versions. The logic evolves the same way. And having made this Faustian arrangement, that it should not be surprising to watch the inevitable flame-out when the Devil (or devil) either claims his due or tosses the individual from their high perch when no longer of use.

He sees Peterson as being a ticket-taker.

You can read the whole thing here: The Ticket-Taker’s Hell

  33. Ayn Rand at some point, in The Fountainhead, has her nefarious character Toohey say something like “to destroy greatness all you have to do is enshrine mediocrity”.

Science Fiction, speaking about books, for awhile now, is a vast wasteland.

In part, it is why I wait for The Dresden Files releases by Jim Butcher despite it being fantasy or anything by John C Wright. Butcher is just… fun. ( And one relates to Dresden. ) Wright is easy to read but sucks you into new concepts when you least expect it. Hell, Wright’s approach to AI and its use, is more advanced than anything Heinlein did in The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

And to put the stake thru the heart of sci-fi, in an act which is clearly designed to curtail anyone trying to write a la Asimov, Clarke and Heinlein — John Scalzi — yeah that John Scalzi — was given a 13 book deal in 2015, and recently (2024) a follow-on 10 book deal.

This is the triumph of marketing over substance. I find Scalzi to be a mediocre writer at best, the ideas are old, and sometimes I think he just put the pages in a blender and then re-assembled them at random. It’s bad. Objectively bad. This isn’t me not liking Scalzi despite him being a probable rapist and that he rolls like a potato. I don’t like all sorts of authors as humans — Arthur C Clarke is almost certainly a pedophile, but he gave me 2001 and Rendezvous with Rama. Childhood’s End was unique despite it being a downer of a story. But the books are good. Despite the fact he should be writing from a prison cell.

Scalzi is a disaster. An honest to goodness avalanche of poor writing that has been foisted on us.

What Tor Books has against sci-fi will not be known until we escape the vampires, werewolves and mummies that besiege us. Till then, I assume it’s all enemy action.

    1. I came close. The actual paragraph in The Fountainhead in the middle of Toohey’s speech explaining his wish for power to Peter Keating:

Here’s another. Kill man’s sense of values. Kill his capacity to recognize greatness or to achieve it. Great men can’t be ruled. We don’t want any great men. Don’t deny conception of greatness. Destroy it from within. The great is the rare, the difficult, the exceptional. Set up standards of achievement open to all, to the least, to the most inept – and you stop the impetus to effort in men, great or small. You stop all incentive to improvement, to excellence, to perfection. Laugh at Roark and hold Peter Keating as a great architect. You’ve destroyed architecture. Build Lois Cook and you’ve destroyed literature. Hail Ike and you’ve destroyed the theatre. Glorify Lancelot Clankey and you’ve destroyed the press. Don’t set out to raze all shrines – you’ll frighten men, Enshrine mediocrity – and the shrines are razed.

    1. And as usual when third-hand idiots with the IQ of cold water shellfish are let loose, they don’t understand that it is not a chemical problem, and not a problem at all.

      We need more CO2.

But having said that, the oceans produce a big chunk of oxygen via phytoplankton, and thus also consume a big chunk of CO2. The area under the curve of phytoplankton photosynthesis dwarfs any impact you could ever achieve by chemical engineering. In fact, the “correct” solution to the non-problem is simply increase the phytoplankton by either increasing sunlight (NASA space mirrors) or dispersing nutrients for said plankton.

But no, simple minds come up precisely with the sound-good, politically expedient, idiot solution.

Killing said phytoplankton via caustic lye is, by and far, the most stupid thing one can do, and that will easily cease oxygen production in the area affected by the lye. Which by extension, will transiently create a dead zone depending on dilution and currents.

Since phytoplankton also sit as the foundation of the total oceanic food chain, increasing phytoplankton would instantly increase all fishery yields. Did I mention that?

Conversely, you can figure out on your own the wisdom of killing the phytoplankton…

People are perplexed that the shooter seemed to be a somewhat normal guy, with an education and a job.

As a Conservative who has been living near DC for 15 years, this isn’t perplexing at all. If you could hear the way Leftists talk about Trump and his supporters, especially when they think there are no Trump supporters around, none of this would surprise you.

They actually believe Trump is Hitler, and they actually believe violence is justified against Trump and his supporters. This is not some fringe belief, this is widespread. They openly and unapologetically fantasize about Republican politicians being assassinated. They are proud of it.

You could ask any Leftist on the street in DC if they wish any of the assassination attempts on Trump were successful, and they will look you straight in the eye and say “absolutely”. Just like they openly rooted for us to die during Covid.

A great sickness infects these people, and I don’t think those who live outside the cities have any idea just how much these Leftists hate you and want you to die. The shooter was not some fringe activist. He is just a regular Leftist who acted on the thoughts and conversations that all of them have been conditioned to have, due to the 24/7 exposure to anti-Trump propaganda from every bit of media they consume.

      They are heavily brainwashed.
