Briefing #228

a nation remembers its founding as crypto waits for laws and dynastic elders avoid jaws

When the first shots of the American Revolution were fired at Lexington Green, few, if any, ever thought that a disparate group of fractious colonies without any central control or organized army would ever cast off the political power of England.

England – with the world’s most highly trained army. England – with the world’s largest and most skilled navy.

No attempt will be made to conduct a total review of the conflict. There are many fine documentaries available to satiate such curiosity.

But, briefly consider one battle that almost saw the complete victory of the British at Long Island, which would have destroyed the Continental Army and ended the rebellion, perhaps until such time it would have been reconstituted at a later date in decades past.

August 27, 1776. It was to be the first major engagement after independence was declared. 10,000 Americans faced 20,000 British. Washington was in command for the Americans. The British were commanded primarily by William Howe with Charles Cornwallis and Henry Clinton. All three, experienced and skilled.

The Americans fought bravely, but their officer corps were largely untrained and inexperienced in fighting against British regulars. Lines of communication were spotty. Reconnaissance was lax. It soon showed.

In a Napoleonic move, the British conducted a diversionary attack on their left, while their right found an amateurishly undefended American left flank, which they exploited. American forces were easily outflanked and sent to flight. Five hundred of them were bayonetted by British troops and Hessian mercenaries as they attempted to flee or surrender.

Continental troops who were not killed or captured escaped to a fortified position at Brooklyn Heights. And then, in a scene eerily reminiscent of Dunkirk some 164 years later, Howe ordered his troops to halt, preferring to conduct a siege against the survivors who he considered trapped with their backs to the East River. It would only be a matter of time before they would simply force a surrender under a flag of truce. Perhaps remembering earlier British losses at Breed’s Hill made Howe aware of what Continental troops could do when attacking their fixed fortifications, otherwise he could have ordered a rather costly general advance and possibly ended the revolution that day.

Washington could not attack. He ordered the gathering of every flat-bottomed boat and sloop without delay. A fortuitous fog rolled in to cover early morning movements as the Continental forces were evacuated across the East River, under strict orders to maintain silence.

As dawn came, Washington stepped aboard the last boat, and by 7AM, 9000 surviving Continental troops arrived in Manhattan with no losses during the maneuver.

A sudden lack of observable Continental pickets caused the British to move forward. They were stunned to find an entire army had departed right in front of them.

The British pursued. At Kip’s Bay, the American militia broke and ran. A frustrated, cursing, furious Washington tried to rally his men to no avail. It was beyond a total collapse. Men left the ranks, plundering nearby homes as they deserted.

Washington was on the verge of giving up.

The British would eventually go on to occupy New York City until the war’s end. For another entire year, the British would inflict one loss after another on the Continental Army. Washington’s command would dwindle down to 2500 effectives.

It looked beyond bleak. Disease was rampant. Desertions were ongoing. Spies were everywhere. Supplies were in critically short supply. Over time, many officers openly called for Washington’s replacement.

Washington knew he could not yet defeat the British Army in a stand-up fight in open country. He chose to keep the army intact by whatever means necessary, no matter its size or condition. He knew how important it was. He chose to be Fabian with the army so it could survive.

Washington’s desperately needed victory at Trenton, in December 1776, was largely because the Hessian commander, Rall, ignored a loyalist’s warning of Washington’s troops crossing the Delaware, and a nearby garrison of British regulars went unused because their general was too busy shagging a mistress to be concerned about attacking “2000 starving, sick and undersupplied Continental troops” across the river. Washington then caught the Hessian garrison asleep and hung over, and defeated it.

Luck did play a part in establishing the country.

Washington eventually gained victory by keeping a struggling army together, no matter the circumstances, giving the Continental Congress time to negotiate an alliance with France and giving the colonies much needed finance and material support.

In time, the ranks grew and became trained and disciplined enough to gain a few open-field victories against British regulars. This was due, in part, from one Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier; known by most as the Marquis de Lafayette. And also to the gallantry and skill of one General Benedict Arnold before he defected to the British due to perceived slights over pay and lack of promotion.

England eventually capitulated because the costs of the war were causing political pressure at home, and England by then was essentially engaged in a world war against other nations which was bankrupting the empire.

250 years later, here we are. We now face battles of another kind. Not against Redcoats sent to retain the power of a King, but by monied interests determined to hold their power, using modern tactics of a much more insidious nature; plundering entire nations with far more “tax” than King George ever demanded.

Their ultimate goal is destruction of cultures and their achievements, to be replaced by lowered standards, hatred of longstanding traditions, demonizing of anything threatening to their Bolshevik ideology using standard Kalergi tactics, including the importation of incompatible masses who are incapable of benefitting a nation which achieved higher standards of living than the nations they grabassticly arrived from.

It can be considered that the West is now at a similar moment in time that Colonial Militia were, on Lexington Green, years ago. Remember this: Not all colonials were on board with the rebellion. Most remained loyal to King George.

Victory still came.

So if you feel outnumbered and hopeless, don’t panic. A determined minority, and even a single determined individual, can make the difference.

We see a definite return to structuring our economic foundations on the Hamiltonian model as opposed to the Keynesian one, i.e., production v. consumption. So far it has held up rather well. It initially got us from ragtag colonialists to an industrial giant (without income tax). Then, the bloodsuckers of humanity arrived and changed our focus.

Lastly, in recent remarks, President Trump recently said:

We note here that WHA has been warning of Marxist/Bolshevik/Communist incrementalism in the West and the USA, for years (as have many others).

It’s good to see a head of state in the West speak up on this. If we are, as the president claimed, to never let Communism take effective root, then we will have to face some really hard decisions in the future, because their numbers are increasing at an alarming rate, thanks to Frankfurt School indoctrination of youth.

There has only been one way to deal with Bolsheviks.

Will we? The men at Lexington did.

From Lexington Green to The Sea of Tranquility, and beyond. You gave us a Republic, and I hope we can keep it.

Happy 250th Birthday, USA.

On to the digital revolution…

There is no question now. We are in a solid accumulation zone.

A continuation of lowering prices is based on the same three factors we mentioned in earlier briefings.

  • Post-halving cycle price corrections
  • A.I. IPO Capital re-allocation
  • Legislative uncertainty

Crypto is currently influenced by these three forces working together, all with a similar timeline.

Delays in CLARITY Act timing require some adjustments to timetables, but in no way does it affect the overall expectations of a fifth boom cycle on the horizon.

The legislative support that was expected to arrive by late 2026 is now likely to come in 2027, acting as an amplifier rather than a catalyst. This suggests that the recovery from the downturn will be slower than we initially expected. The boom cycle doesn’t require major legislation to start, as seen in March 2023, but it does need legislation to keep growing. The new sequence appears to be: cycle bottom in late 2026, initial recovery starts, legislation passes in 2027, and boosts the ongoing rally.

What does not change: the boom cycle itself. The structural foundation we have documented — 401(k) access, Fannie Mae mortgage collateral, federal trust charters, and stablecoin payment flows tracking toward $50 trillion — is unaffected by the legislative timeline shifting.

The Fifth Boom Cycle is coming, launching from the strongest institutional demand base in crypto’s history. The legislative catalyst is only delayed but not canceled.

We need to acknowledge the potential risks honestly, as it’s better than providing false comfort. Previous Bitcoin downturns have seen drawdowns of 77-84% from their peaks. If Bitcoin drops 77% from $126,000, it could reach around $29,000. Our main prediction is between $55,000 and $58,000, supported by the 200-week moving average and Bitcoin’s average price, which have acted as strong support in past cycles. However, if these levels do not hold, the risks could lead to lower prices. We are not saying $29,000 will happen, but we recognize it as a possible outcome.

A potential scenario that could significantly alter the timeline involves Trump canceling strikes and advancing peace talks, leading to a durable Iran peace agreement. This would stably reopen the Strait of Hormuz, keep oil prices sustainably below $85, and lower inflation, allowing the Federal Reserve to cut rates in late 2026. If the Fed begins cutting rates in September or October, alongside a crypto market at cycle lows after the halving arc, it would create a strong impact.

But let’s not count on this. Geopolitical resolutions are hard to predict, and the IRGC’s power consolidation in Tehran is a structural obstacle to any deal meeting Trump’s nuclear conditions. However, it could compress our timeline from “late 2026” to “mid-2026” — worth monitoring rather than dismissing. Peace would be a crypto catalyst, with its size dependent on the speed of macro developments.

So, that’s all well and good. Fancy rhetoric is one thing, but practical application is key. Let’s simplify.

Bitcoin below $60,000 suggests we are close to the top of the $55,000-$58,000 accumulation zone we are aiming for. The 200-week moving average, which has been the lowest point in past downturns, and Bitcoin’s average realized price are both meeting in this range. This is the zone we are looking at, not the level we wished to avoid, but the level we have been saving cash to invest in.

If you wish to continue to place funds along a DCA plan, for those with big balls, then a safe approach would be to do so in tranches. Highly disciplined.

One possible way is to take your entire set-asides for crypto speculation and consider entering the first tranche of about 15% at the present price levels as we go to press. The second, of about 55% of your remaining total between $53-58K. The third, which you should hold in reserve, would be entered at a steeper price decline of about $45-$50K if the 200 MA fails to maintain. Should this level fail to materialize, enter the remaining tranche at the $96,000 reclaimed high.

The above should give excellent, well-placed DCA yields with proper downside risk aversion.

The speculators who will profit most from the Fifth Boom Cycle are not the ones who try to time the perfect entry. That is folly. They are the ones who accumulate patiently through the zone and hold onto the helm in the roughest of seas.

Lower price cycles in bear markets (especially in highly disruptive market sectors) are designed to shake out the disbelievers and Kamikaze buccaneers. Your job as a patient and smart speculator is to retrieve the detritus from such and apply the above tranches, or similar to your liking. Controlling emotions is key. Financial markets, especially this one, will eat the brains out of your head before you feel it if you are not disciplined.

If all plays out as it looks like it will, your patience and smart entry strategy will be greatly rewarded.

    1. The process of turning nuclear energy into kinetic energy is still incredibly fascinating. I am still learning about it. And each piece that comes together is something I struggle to comprehend. It goes to show you how brilliant those early physicists were to understand such in the space of a few seconds. I take months to understand just one piece of the puzzle, like the free neutrons that keep the reaction going. Too few neutrons it won’t chain react, just right it will, too many you get an out of control monster like Chernobyl. How did they ever get that balance right? How can they see these things? I still can’t understand it.

    1. My favorite remains the one where French Mirage fighters came up on the tail of an SR-71 that had dropped altitude to deal with a flameout of one engine. The fighters ordered it to land.

      The pilot didn’t respond.

      The second engine re-lighted.

The SR-71 pulled away at over +1 Mach speed beyond the fighter speeds and went up, up and away to an impossible to follow altitude.

The unofficial comment by one of the Mirage pilots, transliterated:

“It was beautiful. It left us standing still and I’m sure it was not their top speed.”

    Stop giving ukraine money period.

Former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, the official Joe Biden publicly threatened and forced out of office in 2016, claims in his book Biden’s Corruption and War: The True Story of the 1 Billion Dollar Prosecutor that hundreds of billions of American taxpayer dollars connected to Ukraine were recycled through political interests and “globalist networks.”

According to a Blaze Media column citing Shokin’s first-person account, massive sums of U.S. aid intended for Ukraine were recycled through political and globalist networks.

He alleges $350 billion in American taxpayer money was diverted into these opaque channels amid the chaos of war. Arms deals were tainted by corruption.

Wartime disorder allegedly facilitated trafficking of Ukrainian women and children. The book paints the conflict itself as a vehicle for enrichment and influence far beyond the battlefield.

Shokin says his office was moving against the company, seizing assets, and getting uncomfortably close to the Biden family connections. That’s when the pressure campaign from Washington intensified.

Joe Biden later famously boasted about it on video: he told Ukrainian officials they weren’t getting the billion dollars unless the prosecutor was gone. “Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.”

Next week, the United States will announce new sanctions against Iran, which are “unlike anything ever imposed” on any country in the world.

This was announced by U.S. Treasury Secretary Mnuchin.

“Keep an eye on this, because there will be more announcements next week as we move forward with measures that are unprecedented in the history of economic isolation for any country,” Mnuchin said in an interview with Newsmax.

He described it as a combination of economic isolation and the ongoing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

The way they underestimated Iran is tragic. I doubt sanctions will achieve anything. Iran has been surviving under sanctions for decades. They are extremely resilient, calculating and prepared for all of this.

If it turns out that Trump is a traitor working for Israel all along, Iran might be the only nation standing against Pax Judeica…

I honestly hope this is not the case, but I’ve been around too long not to know that anything is possible in this insane matrix.
    May God help us!

The red line for me will be if Trump signs the NDAA allowing effectively the merger between the US and Israeli military.

To me that will be nail in the coffin. Let’s see…

    1. Well, we have to adopt the BattleStar Galactica systems protection response.

The Galactica’s systems were not only firewalled… they were physically separate systems so that a Cylon cybervirus couldn’t take down all systems simultaneously.

This insane inter-networking of everything is sheer insanity, since attackers will always be favored. And no, you can’t do it safely. That’s why the Mythos AI was able to crack major systems in under 20 hours. And what is secured now, will fall to WOPR AI 2.0.

Now, I was there (really) when Open Environment Corporation popularized 3-tier distributed tech, which was a precursor to fully distributed systems such as CORBA and todays tech. Years later, at the think tank, when we built the prototype automated analyst’s workbench for finding WMD from orbit, despite the whole damn thing being encrypted end-to-end from our offices via VPN to the NRO, the damnable Langley boys still managed a man-in-the-middle attack. We would have never have noticed, but they gave the attack to the third string and we noticed the increased transit times — and a straightforward trace-route showed a packet transfer/sink out at blah.blah.<langley.gov proxy>. Really CIA? REALLY??? Jesus F Christ.

There is no reason, other than convenience, to run external cross-connects between water and power, etc. The sub rosa reason is because your own government wants to be able to turn off your power and water to run you into a camp. But this vulnerability is intolerable both at the level of We, the People, but also as a national security vulnerability.

Of 419 sources the four chatbots provided, 104 webpages didn’t exist, and 77 didn’t actually answer the questions posed. Sources were valid less than half the time overall.

The study, conducted by Just Facts, found ChatGPT and Gemini performed at a “C student” level, Claude at a “B student” level, and Grok scored better on left-leaning falsehoods but worse on the right — the reverse pattern of the other three. The researcher behind it says the takeaway isn’t to abandon AI, but to never blindly trust it: “Don’t trust, verify.”

TUCKER: “We all have what we consider to be the most shocking feature of the COVID response. But for me, I still can’t get over the fact that I was told by top FDA, NIH officials that a major reason for social distancing, lockdowns, masking, Plexiglas, stay-at-home orders, and everything else was to delay the onset of natural immunity, to delay rising seroprevalence levels, to delay endemicity until after the shots were online.

“So, it wasn’t just that all these tactics, these sort of social engineering tactics, were designed to keep us [safe]. Well, no, it was exactly the opposite. It was to keep us from gaining natural capacity to resist the virus.

“So that they could wait until the injection came along. So the injection could be deployed and experimented upon us and, and thereby get all the credit for having solved the issue.

“That sounds like a wild conspiracy theory, but that’s what they meant by ‘flatten the curve.’ Flatten the curve meant to prolong the pain, delay the solution. And it sounds crazy until you hear it from people who were there on the ground, in the agencies, in the companies, watching all this unfold.

“And multiple sources have confirmed this without a shadow of doubt in their mind that was the real purpose of the school closures, the business shutdowns, the stay-at-home orders, the travel restrictions, and everything: to delay the point at which we would have solved, essentially solved, the problem through natural exposure and immune upgrades.”

    1. Because of Bethlehem Steel, literally everyone here in the Lehigh Valley (circa 1952) knew how to build, assemble and manufacture. It was all DIY. God knows I inherited the gene. My grandfather bought a “kit house”. Delivered disassembled on a couple flatbed trucks. Over 10 days, it came together.

Amusingly the original plans are different in important details — my grandfather decided the original plans didn’t make the grade — and put in all sorts of optimizations. Including conduit for electrics. A fireplace. An extended bay window. Sewer and water fixtures that are over-engineered. And clearly he put in a few hooks for a future back patio which he never implemented — mostly because I think he bought the lake house of long ago. Also the foundation of the house and basement are over-engineered. The kit house was meant to go an a typical cement pad. He put in a basement — and the long axis of the house sits on a skyscraper I-beam.

On the I-beam, in the older construction around here, this is a common feature. Since many I-beams were rolled to order, excess I-beams were re-smelted. Or, you could run a flatbed up to the mill, and pay the moving fee for the crane ($25) and drive away with a 55-foot I-beam…

      Liked by 5 people

      1. My back is to the homelab and book stacks. So that’s about 30ft of the I-beam, with ~25ft behind me. The pipes to nowhere in the middle are the remains of a shower stall in the basement — you can’t work at a steel mill and not get covered in dust, grime, dirt, oil and other unnameable crap. Gramps didn’t want to track it into the house. My father removed the stall and I just haven’t gotten to removing the excess piping. Since everything is copper, they are a convenient ground for electrics… (Yes, I know, current NEC says ‘don’t’ but really, get over yourselves.)

If one didn’t know better, the current behavior of the Elite in general, is indistinguishable from the worst of applied demonic Satanism. One cannot blame the religious from thinking its an “End Time”.

Furthermore, those incapable of independent thought are so programmed, so inured to the system, that whatever is the prevailing narrative — it get rabidly integrated to be socially acceptable.

The only way out, in the long run, is self-leadership and some internalization of religion.

      It is a travesty.

The HR-Digital moat has become a near impassable barrier to getting hired.

Not only have the criteria reached the epitome of crazy, seeing a true decision-maker is a near impossibility.

When I suffered the crazy interview (~2000’s)at Web-Side-Story (later acquired and folded into Google) I figured it was a one-off. Little did I know that the kookie FAANG intelligence testing would end up being the standard.

When I ended up across town (San Diego) at SilkRoad (optical circuitry) a tall, white haired guy walked in and said “My problem is… “. I replied “Here’s the solution…” He listened patiently, said “wait here”. He came back in with 4 other folks and “Repeat what you said to me”. When they understood, there was laughter, the guy in suit-n-tie said “You’re hired”. SilkRoad it turns out was a dot-com fraud. But the problem was a real one, the solution was a real one, and I got to work with some of the smartest techie folks, plus became part of MoH-PhD entourage and his life-long friendship, which brought me to Kari Mullis and then the immunotherapy at my next company.

Later that same day Dr. MoH asked me where I learned the solution. I pointed out it was roughly at page 300 in the manual of the tech they were using (which I was an expert in). He roared with laughter. We were friends till the day he died.

Other similar craziness is Taiwan-China, North Korea-South Korea, India-Pakistan and few lesser examples on the African continent. And then variations on theme of Greater Israel vs the 7 nations surrounding it. Of which Turkey, if it sees itself territorially challenged, could easily sweep south to the Israeli border and say “Try me.”. And we haven’t talked about the whole Russia/China angle of matters. Much as I love back-channels, there are lines, where if crossed, back-channels won’t help on the front-end.

          I digress.

          This isn’t anti-semitism or any anti-jew irrationality.

Program in the objective Israeli responses, objective Arab responses, let a first strike of any kind start the sim, and watch the insane oscillations, many of which end up with everyone dying. 42. So, from time to time, good and well-meaning associates say stupid things. And we all do. If we are inflexible, we’d all end up against the wall, shot.

What drives me clear up the other proverbial wall is when someone who should know better repeats an inanity. In this particular case, someone, a former executive who was there (California), who witnessed autism reversal, “felt the therapy was ineffective because it didn’t last”.

Which is the most f’ing stupid thing he could say. This is the epistemological failure of medicine: If it isn’t a third party, independent institutions, that did 5 years of follow-up on a double-blind randomized placebo trial, it’s just anecdotal and never happened.

The comment was triggered in a conversation about a known patient where the parents out of desperation tracked me down. The kid was severe when we first saw him. ~2013. In 8 weeks, though he remained non-verbal, his reading comprehension went from ~14% to ~95% and went on to finish high school. After 3 years of system abuse (starting 2023), putting him in a facility — because he aged out of standard home services, drugging him out of his mind to calm him, denying him piano playing — he’s very musical, savant level — is it a shocker that an *unstable brain-damaged mind* reverts or crumps?

Exactly what standard am I being held to?

The therapy is “ineffective” because after the system does everything in its power to destabilize a brain, after 13 years, and an autistic patient decompensates?

So with the help of a Long Island associate (MD) we managed to improve and stabilize. The outcome was not perfect, but the parents, at the end of their rope, chose to still help their child rather than give him up to a permanent commit of a mental ward. I bought a few years of quality life for him. If they don’t crazy medicate him, he’ll have probably 10 years before a new decline sets in (for him, not the general autist).

And the doctors are so traumatized by the legal standard of being free of liability IF and ONLY IF, they abide by the standard of care, that risk aversion to anything outside the established order is extreme. Why do you think everybody fell all over themselves to prescribe the various failed Covid therapies (remdesivir) and mRNA vaxx? You couldn’t be fired if you prescribed the standard of care — never mind it was unsafe, ineffective and lethal. Of course, Fauci said “safe and effective” but docs should have known better. They don’t. In many ways doctors are glorified car mechanics. And behave identically — except car mechanics have more courage.

Point the first: A double-blind was performed. It was not published. This doesn’t change the fact that a group of moderate-to-severe autistic children thru age 12 underwent therapy and we reverted 50% to neurotypicality.

Point the second: The BTC by the time I left had long-term data at ~3 yr level. The kids were stable and kept on sailing with a mild drop in cognitive performance for those not driven to full neuro-typicality. But all were stable.

And if all the therapy ever did was, like dialysis but only every 5 or 10 years, keep these kids (and eventual adults) stable, improved, living good lives — how is this — ineffective?

      This is a big deal.
Even in sleepy Canada banking is changing. What was once taken for granted in US banking is no more. USD payments made through the US require US clearing by US banks as Canadian banks are now regelated to playing 2nd fiddle on transfers. The only way you may do USD wires direct is to hold a US account in a Canadian bank and not a cross border account ( US regulated ). Certain Canadian banks now allow direct GBP and Euro transfers electronically. This previously was not possible. While in Europe the use of IBAN transfers allow even direct instantaneous USD and EURO transfer from your phone to the Middle East. And perhaps soon to Canada.
Departure from US control is as concerted as US attempts to control USD movement and settlement. Everyone is trying to find a new level of operation. The more the world moves away from US hegemony the more concentrated this will become. Causing banks to seek adaptations for gain of currency and trade settlement.
Years ago crypto tried the same but was thwarted since Bitcoin was a DARPA project and ultimately a US control mechanism.
Today the game has risen to a nation state competition.
