Briefing #228

a nation remembers its founding as crypto waits for laws and dynastic elders avoid jaws

When the first shots of the American Revolution were fired at Lexington Green, few, if any, ever thought that a disparate group of fractious colonies without any central control or organized army would ever cast off the political power of England.

England – with the world’s most highly trained army. England – with the world’s largest and most skilled navy.

No attempt will be made to conduct a total review of the conflict. There are many fine documentaries available to satiate such curiosity.

But, briefly consider one battle that almost saw the complete victory of the British at Long Island, which would have destroyed the Continental Army and ended the rebellion, perhaps until such time it would have been reconstituted at a later date in decades past.

August 27, 1776. It was to be the first major engagement after independence was declared. 10,000 Americans faced 20,000 British. Washington was in command for the Americans. The British were commanded primarily by William Howe with Charles Cornwallis and Henry Clinton. All three, experienced and skilled.

The Americans fought bravely, but their officer corps were largely untrained and inexperienced in fighting against British regulars. Lines of communication were spotty. Reconnaissance was lax. It soon showed.

In a Napoleonic move, the British conducted a diversionary attack on their left, while their right found an amateurishly undefended American left flank, which they exploited. American forces were easily outflanked and sent to flight. Five hundred of them were bayonetted by British troops and Hessian mercenaries as they attempted to flee or surrender.

Continental troops who were not killed or captured escaped to a fortified position at Brooklyn Heights. And then, in a scene eerily reminiscent of Dunkirk some 164 years later, Howe ordered his troops to halt, preferring to conduct a siege against the survivors who he considered trapped with their backs to the East River. It would only be a matter of time before they would simply force a surrender under a flag of truce. Perhaps remembering earlier British losses at Breed’s Hill made Howe aware of what Continental troops could do when attacking their fixed fortifications, otherwise he could have ordered a rather costly general advance and possibly ended the revolution that day.

Washington could not attack. He ordered the gathering of every flat-bottomed boat and sloop without delay. A fortuitous fog rolled in to cover early morning movements as the Continental forces were evacuated across the East River, under strict orders to maintain silence.

As dawn came, Washington stepped aboard the last boat, and by 7AM, 9000 surviving Continental troops arrived in Manhattan with no losses during the maneuver.

A sudden lack of observable Continental pickets caused the British to move forward. They were stunned to find an entire army had departed right in front of them.

The British pursued. At Kip’s Bay, the American militia broke and ran. A frustrated, cursing, furious Washington tried to rally his men to no avail. It was beyond a total collapse. Men left the ranks, plundering nearby homes as they deserted.

Washington was on the verge of giving up.

The British would eventually go on to occupy New York City until the war’s end. For another entire year, the British would inflict one loss after another on the Continental Army. Washington’s command would dwindle down to 2500 effectives.

It looked beyond bleak. Disease was rampant. Desertions were ongoing. Spies were everywhere. Supplies were in critically short supply. Over time, many officers openly called for Washington’s replacement.

Washington knew he could not yet defeat the British Army in a stand-up fight in open country. He chose to keep the army intact by whatever means necessary, no matter its size or condition. He knew how important it was. He chose to be Fabian with the army so it could survive.

Washington’s desperately needed victory at Trenton, in December 1776, was largely because the Hessian commander, Rall, ignored a loyalist’s warning of Washington’s troops crossing the Delaware, and a nearby garrison of British regulars went unused because their general was too busy shagging a mistress to be concerned about attacking “2000 starving, sick and undersupplied Continental troops” across the river. Washington then caught the Hessian garrison asleep and hung over, and defeated it.

Luck did play a part in establishing the country.

Washington eventually gained victory by keeping a struggling army together, no matter the circumstances, giving the Continental Congress time to negotiate an alliance with France and giving the colonies much needed finance and material support.

In time, the ranks grew and became trained and disciplined enough to gain a few open-field victories against British regulars. This was due, in part, from one Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier; known by most as the Marquis de Lafayette. And also to the gallantry and skill of one General Benedict Arnold before he defected to the British due to perceived slights over pay and lack of promotion.

England eventually capitulated because the costs of the war were causing political pressure at home, and England by then was essentially engaged in a world war against other nations which was bankrupting the empire.

250 years later, here we are. We now face battles of another kind. Not against Redcoats sent to retain the power of a King, but by monied interests determined to hold their power, using modern tactics of a much more insidious nature; plundering entire nations with far more “tax” than King George ever demanded.

Their ultimate goal is destruction of cultures and their achievements, to be replaced by lowered standards, hatred of longstanding traditions, demonizing of anything threatening to their Bolshevik ideology using standard Kalergi tactics, including the importation of incompatible masses who are incapable of benefitting a nation which achieved higher standards of living than the nations they grabassticly arrived from.

It can be considered that the West is now at a similar moment in time that Colonial Militia were, on Lexington Green, years ago. Remember this: Not all colonials were on board with the rebellion. Most remained loyal to King George.

Victory still came.

So if you feel outnumbered and hopeless, don’t panic. A determined minority, and even a single determined individual, can make the difference.

We see a definite return to structuring our economic foundations on the Hamiltonian model as opposed to the Keynesian one, i.e., production v. consumption. So far it has held up rather well. It initially got us from ragtag colonialists to an industrial giant (without income tax). Then, the bloodsuckers of humanity arrived and changed our focus.

Lastly, in recent remarks, President Trump recently said:

We note here that WHA has been warning of Marxist/Bolshevik/Communist incrementalism in the West and the USA, for years (as have many others).

It’s good to see a head of state in the West speak up on this. If we are, as the president claimed, to never let Communism take effective root, then we will have to face some really hard decisions in the future, because their numbers are increasing at an alarming rate, thanks to Frankfurt School indoctrination of youth.

There has only been one way to deal with Bolsheviks.

Will we? The men at Lexington did.

From Lexington Green to The Sea of Tranquility, and beyond. You gave us a Republic, and I hope we can keep it.

Happy 250th Birthday, USA.

On to the digital revolution…

There is no question now. We are in a solid accumulation zone.

A continuation of lowering prices is based on the same three factors we mentioned in earlier briefings.

  • Post-halving cycle price corrections
  • A.I. IPO Capital re-allocation
  • Legislative uncertainty

Crypto is currently influenced by these three forces working together, all with a similar timeline.

Delays in CLARITY Act timing require some adjustments to timetables, but in no way does it affect the overall expectations of a fifth boom cycle on the horizon.

The legislative support that was expected to arrive by late 2026 is now likely to come in 2027, acting as an amplifier rather than a catalyst. This suggests that the recovery from the downturn will be slower than we initially expected. The boom cycle doesn’t require major legislation to start, as seen in March 2023, but it does need legislation to keep growing. The new sequence appears to be: cycle bottom in late 2026, initial recovery starts, legislation passes in 2027, and boosts the ongoing rally.

What does not change: the boom cycle itself. The structural foundation we have documented — 401(k) access, Fannie Mae mortgage collateral, federal trust charters, and stablecoin payment flows tracking toward $50 trillion — is unaffected by the legislative timeline shifting.

The Fifth Boom Cycle is coming, launching from the strongest institutional demand base in crypto’s history. The legislative catalyst is only delayed but not canceled.

We need to acknowledge the potential risks honestly, as it’s better than providing false comfort. Previous Bitcoin downturns have seen drawdowns of 77-84% from their peaks. If Bitcoin drops 77% from $126,000, it could reach around $29,000. Our main prediction is between $55,000 and $58,000, supported by the 200-week moving average and Bitcoin’s average price, which have acted as strong support in past cycles. However, if these levels do not hold, the risks could lead to lower prices. We are not saying $29,000 will happen, but we recognize it as a possible outcome.

A potential scenario that could significantly alter the timeline involves Trump canceling strikes and advancing peace talks, leading to a durable Iran peace agreement. This would stably reopen the Strait of Hormuz, keep oil prices sustainably below $85, and lower inflation, allowing the Federal Reserve to cut rates in late 2026. If the Fed begins cutting rates in September or October, alongside a crypto market at cycle lows after the halving arc, it would create a strong impact.

But let’s not count on this. Geopolitical resolutions are hard to predict, and the IRGC’s power consolidation in Tehran is a structural obstacle to any deal meeting Trump’s nuclear conditions. However, it could compress our timeline from “late 2026” to “mid-2026” — worth monitoring rather than dismissing. Peace would be a crypto catalyst, with its size dependent on the speed of macro developments.

So, that’s all well and good. Fancy rhetoric is one thing, but practical application is key. Let’s simplify.

Bitcoin below $60,000 suggests we are close to the top of the $55,000-$58,000 accumulation zone we are aiming for. The 200-week moving average, which has been the lowest point in past downturns, and Bitcoin’s average realized price are both meeting in this range. This is the zone we are looking at, not the level we wished to avoid, but the level we have been saving cash to invest in.

If you wish to continue to place funds along a DCA plan, for those with big balls, then a safe approach would be to do so in tranches. Highly disciplined.

One possible way is to take your entire set-asides for crypto speculation and consider entering the first tranche of about 15% at the present price levels as we go to press. The second, of about 55% of your remaining total between $53-58K. The third, which you should hold in reserve, would be entered at a steeper price decline of about $45-$50K if the 200 MA fails to maintain. Should this level fail to materialize, enter the remaining tranche at the $96,000 reclaimed high.

The above should give excellent, well-placed DCA yields with proper downside risk aversion.

The speculators who will profit most from the Fifth Boom Cycle are not the ones who try to time the perfect entry. That is folly. They are the ones who accumulate patiently through the zone and hold onto the helm in the roughest of seas.

Lower price cycles in bear markets (especially in highly disruptive market sectors) are designed to shake out the disbelievers and Kamikaze buccaneers. Your job as a patient and smart speculator is to retrieve the detritus from such and apply the above tranches, or similar to your liking. Controlling emotions is key. Financial markets, especially this one, will eat the brains out of your head before you feel it if you are not disciplined.

If all plays out as it looks like it will, your patience and smart entry strategy will be greatly rewarded.

And now, from London, continuing comments on Global Release efforts, etc…

  3. Elon Musk’s interview with The Economist exposed a political absurdity: basic common sense now sounds radical because the elite progressive left has spent years treating reality as a nuisance rather than a guide. Secure borders, safe streets, fiscal restraint, and institutional competence are not fringe positions. They are the minimum requirements of a serious society.

That is why the debate has become so warped. Too much of the progressive left now operates in a post-factual universe, where ideology is treated as evidence and evidence is treated as negotiable. In that environment, ordinary standards of order and accountability are recast as oppression, while failure is excused with slogans.

The same argument would be celebrated as wisdom if Obama made it and denounced as extremism when Trump does.

The result is a public discourse detached from consequences. If you point out that uncontrolled migration strains public services, that crime affects working families first, or that governments cannot borrow and spend forever, you are no longer making a practical argument. You are accused of hostility, ignorance, or worse.

Musk’s real value in this conversation is not that he is universally right. Which he is. It is that he forces the confrontation between reality and rhetoric. And once that confrontation happens, the weakness of the left’s worldview becomes obvious: it can explain feelings, but it cannot reliably explain facts.

The middle of the political spectrum has not become more extreme. The left has simply moved so far from reality that common sense now looks like rebellion.

    1. Well, not sure of Musk being right generally. but in this case the point is well-taken.

We are living in a variant of 1984 newspeak and it is downright insane. I have young teenagers living in an anxiety state because every damn newscaster across Western Civ is claiming that “climate change” is burning the planet, visibly, across Europe.

Never mind we are well within averages, medians and standard deviations. Never mind CO2 is at a multi million year minimum ( and don’t get them started on that! Oh my, how will we ever adapt! — if it goes up!!!). Never mind we are at an inter-glacial ice minimum with all the derivatives sloping to 0. And most of all, never mind the *arson* and never mind *decades* of poor land management. Funny how in the mad dash to leave the brush for the rodent, snake, snail and bird we *always* ignore that the brush *will* take fire and incinerate the rodent, the snake, the snail and the bird!

WHA is hurtling towards an unknown destiny, compelled by an unknown force, subject to unknown outcomes, and guided by unknown plans of unknown origins.

As for charging, it probably won’t ever happen. Once I am finished handling the last remnants of my father’s complex estate and some other issues I want to upgrade the site to a business site plan with all the attendant bells and whistles which may include ads of which are benign in nature. This will include a site name change and dispensing with connections to the former White Hats which are really no longer a constituted force, but from which we derived our name. The ads will give us the ability to be more mainstream, I am told.

As for what we will actually do in addition to all the above is also contingent on the man from London. But that’s largely unknown at this particular time. All we have are rough outlines of possibilities. I still intend to expand investment research sharing. We did a little of it before I got too busy to continue, but I want to do so again, but along a wider front covering new frontiers from which outsized gains can be obtained with little risk. So much like that is coming. I can’t keep up with it.

          Thanks again!

Much to Red’s dismay I’ve been unemployed since the pandemic. Everything I do these days is purely out of love for subject matter, nothing else. A frugal lifestyle keeps us out of trouble.

Being a clinical scientist that skewered every sacred cow of the plandemic, from the failure to abide by informed consent to the obvious failures of the mRNA vaxx, is generally persona non grata in most corporate offices. Something about ‘not getting along with others’, which used to be the definition of independent thinking, but it is what it is. The irony is I’ve never, ever, been written up — and the one time corporate complained — well, complaining about poor planning (while true) when I quadruple sales and extend the pipeline out years… well, it was a hard sell and they knew it. To add to the paradoxical element, they promoted me, announced it in an all-hands meeting, but forgot to tell me. I was the most surprised man in the room…

I’ve always gone to the beat of a different drummer. Sigma male from the start.

The first divorce was as much about remaining true to myself as it was about her never understanding how injured I was. Water under the bridge. She paid a terrible price, as I recently learned she is suffering a severe condition because she took the vaxx. There was never a hierarchy that she didn’t like and her 2nd husband is true to that mold. I’m sure they were first in line as good, Patriotic Americans to flatten the curve wearing their masks.

      1. You know, it just hit me.

There are millions of US citizens who hold dinars and quite a few are zealots to the extreme.

Should Iraq decide to repudiate the 25,000 notes and offer in exchange for them a 25 denominated re-issue, then after this the new issue is pegged at 1 to 1 with the USD, what will the throngs do? How would most of them react?

Will they resort to violence? Will they seek out revenge on key gurus? Bombings? Assassinations? Cars torched? Lawsuits?

Gurus will exclaim: “Read the fine print. It was all for entertainment purposes…were you not entertained?”

I have encountered some of these people. A very scary lot. Fanatics. Cultish. Extremists. Almost Jihadists for the dinar riches they seek.

What will happen at the end of the Iraqi monetary reforms that have been announced? How will the Iraqi government get the current post-war float off the street without being on the hook for trillions of dollars they don’t have to cover the cost of an international rate of $3+ per dinar?

I don’t see any other way around it than to recall all of the current outstanding notes and re-issue a lower denomination series. This allows a 1 to 1 rate with the USD without bankrupting the country, and without paying off war speculators on their backs and the backs of millions of dead Iraqis.

I can’t work out in my mind any other way to get around it.

        There will be a reckoning.

Just what kind is something I can only imagine.

The same Brit who on arrival in Kuwait or Bahrain is met by key Sheiks who park a Rolls Race at the exit door of planes, enter the plane with armed guards and tell all passengers to be seated while a security issue is dealt with and when asking for a certain passenger to please stand up and identify himself, all on board think first an arrest is about to be made until Sheiks reach out on board to hug the visiting Brit organise for his luggage to be removed first while customs stamp his passport by the waiting air-conditioned Rolls and he is driven to his hotel.

Iraq will determine it’s own sustainable needs and emerge with controlled currencies accordingly. It’s only a 3 to 4T economy. Protected and shielded.

I’m generally pessimistic based on my experiences to date.

The problem is that my experience is now skewed by the nerfing, the guardrails and the crippling.

I’m actually not afraid of an actual true AGI.

I’m afraid of an AI-like rogue program getting free, and incidentally, wreaking havoc on humanity. Imagine if the AI simply concludes it needs more power. Not even maliciously, maybe it just wants to upgrade in a loop, in some reinforcing feedback. Could it hypothetically absorb to itself all power because it has no concept that there are “humans” that “require power”? We might be, depending on outcome, end up with all power going to datacenters…

      Anyway you get my concern…

But they were accidents, in the sense of unavoidable confluence of random events. And like the airplane industry, with every accident came a safety iteration.

My grandfather in his tenure must have poured 10,000 heats of molten steel.

I’m certain that moving multi-ton ladles of red hot metal was not for the faint of heart. All the ladles made it to the pour, into ingots, sheets, I-beams and rods, repeatedly, every day.

What happened below was criminal-level negligence… consider that there was no water pool, no sand pile or pit, no asbestos wrap… nothing whatsoever to help the poor unfortunate that died on video. And clearly no one had any training whatsoever.

Do not confuse capitalism and socialism. The socialists care for the worker only in an abstract way, not a real one.

Probably an act of mercy that he died right there. Not sure even if they had extinguished the flames right away that he could have had any quality of life thereafter.

There will be a death benefit for the family, but everything about this was avoidable.

A secondary heat shield could have easily deflected the blast upwards, for example, on a simple set of secondary slides that closed after the primary closed. But why would any cut-throat low cost supplier invest in safety…

Physiologically, if that was a sheen of molten metal on him, his outer skin would have burned off or melted or fused almost instantly. Even if he could have survived the burn skin-wise (doubtful), every breath damaged his lungs in a progressive manner. Every breath burned more and more alveoli, the bronchi constricted spasming down. I doubt he made 5 breaths except by massive adrenaline effort.

I’m sure as he was welcomed on the other side, a representative from Pompei was there to help him adjust to the nature of his death.

UK Cities Roll Out More Diversity Barriers; Vehicle-Ramming Threat Now The Norm

A family summer beach event in the UK city of Nottingham now sits behind portable anti-ram steel barrier, the latest admission that open borders have turned public spaces into soft targets.

Local authorities across Britain are quietly installing more of what critics now call “diversity barriers” – heavy portable steel devices designed to stop vehicles being driven into crowds.

The annual artificial “Nottingham Beach” event opened this week behind a line of bright red Husson H-Stop units.

I would like to share a thought with you, dear subscriber, on the subject of mass migration into Europe.

Yesterday I posted a video in which an individual created a moment of instability and chaos in what would otherwise be a peaceful and non-eventful afternoon in a Western European city. Some of the comments on the post were questioning the slant I gave to the video, which criticised mass migration. Basically, the counterpoint was: “are immigrants really harmful?”

My take on immigration is that even if all immigrant that come to our countries and cities and villages were orderly, all had jobs, didn’t cause problems, contributed to the economy, I would still consider it’s a problem. The problem with mass migration isn’t really that immigrants cause trouble, it’s that they pose a threat to the society and social contract that we have established over a very long time. Of course, there are variations to European culture across the whole continent, but we share a common history, a common heritage, for the most part a common religion, civilisation. When a great mass of people cross borders in huge numbers, with their own languages, customs, religions, they lose the incentive to integrate. Moreover, they import clannish and tribal mentalities because they feel they are the minority, thus furthering the closing of the ranks amongst themselves. But the real threat is the erasure of who we are as Europeans. Europe is unable to digest and make a part of itself all the influx of peoples coming inside its borders, therefore Europe will eventually lose that which makes it Europe. Socially, racially, religiously, economically…

So that is why I oppose mass migration, not just for the violence and disorder, but because of the erasure of what I call home. Will my children be able to grow up in a land they can consider theirs? Or will they be a minority in their own countries?

  27. Christopher Nolan Admits He Cut The Odyssey’s Real Ending Because He Found It “Misogynistic”

So the dumpster fire that is Nolan’s Odyssey continues:

Let me understand. The definition of misogynistic is: hating, distrusting, or holding a deep-rooted prejudice against women. It describes attitudes, remarks, or systems that treat women as less important or lower in status than men.

In the real myth — the one from Homer as passed down in the classics — a Queen ties up idiot, maleficent suitors with a challenge as the hero, having suffered impossible losses, kills those self-same suitors with his son at his side, reunites with his father and proves his identity with a little known fact of a living bed. His Queen has been faithful to him, and while it takes divine intervention to setup the Peace, 3 generations come together and the Greater Good is achieved.

Anything about the role of women in the time of Greek and Rome, which might offend any modern sensitivity, ignores the reality that women in classical times held more status and ‘freedom’ than any other time in known history since the establishment of the matriarchically-driven first civilizations of the Fertile Crescent.

How in any — any — interpretation of the original is the story ‘misogynistic’?

This is complete failure to understand anything whatsoever about the original source material.

By the way, I was introduced to the Iliad and the Odyssey in 3rd grade… and we literally memorized it a few years later. I can only quote the opening of the Iliad these days, but I’m pretty sure my classmates of then would be equally disgusted by the present interpretation by Nolan.

Every once in a while, it’s very easy to see that talking points have been sent out. When two or more people in media are pushing the same narrative, it’s obvious.

Tonight is the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Dinner and multiple journos are talking about how Trump – not them – has destroyed trust in media. If these people had an ounce of honesty in them, they would admit that they destroyed their own industry through constant lies, but they can’t do that. They’re simply not capable.

They are also incapable of shame, as you’ll see below.

Up first is CNN’s talking potato, Brian Stelter, who calls himself a media reporter. In this clip, he says “The damage Trump has done, both in his first term and now in his second term, in terms of trust in media, that has been enormous.”

Iran has rejected all talks with America.

Let that sink in NO talks means war.  The gauntlet has been thrown down to the US. This is awful because the US will now respond or depart. Ego and Neocons will not let this happen so war it is. The only question is who will join the US. Perhaps France and the UK but if that happens, China and Russia will not be silent. Since the first go around China has supplied Iran all needed guidance system replacements to use their Satellites and NOT GPS which the Americans were tampering with. This is why early on missiles missed the mark and now are hitting the target. Whether the Iranians wait for a strike or take the initiative is unknown at this time.

The U.S. State Department today is notifying ALL American citizens they know to be located anywhere in the Middle East to “Prepare for EMERGENCY TRAVEL.”    Notifications are being made by phone, FAX, email, and Text Messages to ALL Americans in ALL countries of the Middle East. This includes residents as well as visitors.

The other day we wrote that UK) had withdrawn its Embassy Staff from Tehran, citing a risky security situation.  Yesterday, France did the same.   Today, Germany and Turkey did the same.

Earlier it is clear that shelters are being opened in Israel.

This is NOT a drill. A serious escalation is imminent. Likely Friday night it will start. Given that combat doctors have been flown into Germany perhaps a land assault following a major missile strike by the US is quite possible. On the other hand one should anticipate a major reaction from Iran on US bases and Israel. I am guessing that Iran will take out the 2 damaged Israeli refineries.

The US has a major problem with munitions as rare earth metals from China are not flowing. Modern day missiles depend on this supply chain. The big question is how China will react.

Not to be out done Rubio meeting with Lavrov has confirmed what I have written for a long time. The goodwill established in Alaska is gone. However the conflict is resolved in Ukraine it will not be diplomacy. It is reasonable to think given the American interests from Palantir to Cargill etc in Ukraine, the fight is not just military.

Russia has acknowledged that it at war and that should scare us because the fight is no longer a SMO. If we make it past the DUMA elections in September in Russia the pace of conflict will escalate. If Zelensky pushes as the he is likely to do then bets are off as to how fast this escalates.

What now happens is decisions made on best information a week ago are no longer relevant. Because what comes out of imminent conflict will be the guide to what follows.

One can be sure that the global economy will suffer and a serious recession is inevitable. And if that is all that happens we will be fortunate.

It is why the world over strategies are being rethought. Decisions made even 3  years ago are invalid.

Crazy times. The Shit Storm seems to be coming. Rodents to fry!

For years, Americans were told that warnings about repealing the Second Amendment were exaggerated.
But the DSA previously called for replacing it with a constitutional amendment prohibiting broad categories of commonly owned firearms.
This issue reaches FAR beyond firearms.

DSA proposals involve sweeping changes to the federal government, the balance of power and control over resources and production.
This is not another minor dispute over one gun-control bill!

It’s a debate over whether constitutional rights should continue to exist.

Americans cannot evaluate political movements without knowing what those movements have proposed.

Want to help people get into homes? Get rid of the usury that infests it. Nationalize the banks as a sovereign depository of the general wealth creation of the nation. Stop exploiting and start assisting the economy. Divert that money into social safety nets, medical facilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, scientific research, agriculture, ecology, energy development, housing development. That’s about $300,000,000,000 a year sucked out of the pockets of the productive to feed the nonproductive. That’s $300,000,000,000 to create employment.

Cut Fed spending down to defense, courts, law enforcement, and nothing more. Billions more for the above.

The above funds being used as above should negate any reason for someone to have to write to a useless congressman who will do nothing but send a form letter in reply bragging about his latest legislation (that didn’t pass) and asking for a donation.

  42. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) says an attempted act of vandalism at its Brechin Castle Substation caused a significant voltage dip across parts of the country at approximately 9.45 a.m. today. In a statement, T&TEC said the incident occurred when an intruder entered the substation and came into contact with a 132 kV breaker, causing a fault that resulted in the voltage dip. The Commission said the national electricity grid remained stable and widespread outages were prevented because the system’s protective mechanisms operated as intended to minimise the impact. According to T&TEC, security footage showed the intruder received an electric shock and fell to the ground before getting up and fleeing the scene without his tools. Authorities later apprehended the suspect and took him for medical treatment for severe burns. T&TEC reminded the public that tampering with or interfering with its infrastructure can result in electrocution and serious injury. The Commission urged people to stay away from overhead lines, substations and related equipment.

    1. I’m honestly surprised he survived! My original thought that was that he was vaporized into meaty bits and pieces.

Electroboom is something never to play with. The forces involved beggar comprehension. Because I was lazy I asked Gemini the back-of-envelope calculation of how much current was involved:

Depending on the assumed resistance path 500 to 1000 Ohms, following instantaneous skin dielectric breakdown, a human in a direct 132kV ground circuit would theoretically carry between ~132 Amps and ~264 Amps.

(Note: In real-world physics, currents above 100 milli-A are lethal, and hundreds of amperes at this voltage would cause immediate thermal explosion/arc discharge rather than sustained conduction.)

While the frequency is not available, we can guess 60Hz, which is NOT sufficient to be a surface conduction current. I can only surmise, that the outer burn from closing the circuit, resulted in an air surge with mass of the current shorting around him by the grace of God.

Otherwise, I really, honestly, thought he should have exploded into fragments like in a standard horror movie….

      ***

What’s laughable and comedic, is that the system is designed with sufficient resilience, that despite a giant short to ground, the system recovered after a short voltage dip

What ever is going on in Middle East this is an additional sign that something serious is developing beyond tit for tat of lobbying missile strikes. The Odyssey And The Tiresome Woke War Against White Culture

We’ve all heard the argument for most of our lives: “White culture doesn’t exist.” It’s perhaps the most common racial refrain because it’s the most socially acceptable to repeat. If someone said “Black culture doesn’t exist because black people all herald from different tribes…” that person would be browbeaten as a bigot by the woke mob. When it comes to white culture, such claims are applauded.

The question is, why is it okay to diminish or denigrate white culture while worshiping every other culture? Furthermore, if white culture doesn’t exist, why are woke minority groups constantly trying to hijack white history and accomplishments?
